Serving the Waters That Serve Alabama

When the Deepwater Horizon oil spill closed waterways around the gulf, Alabama’s seafood industry was devastated. The Alabama Gulf Seafood campaign fostered a lost sense of pride in the state’s seafood business.

Through a larger initiative, weekly blog and news imagery provided a visual link to the digital content and a nod to the brand's authentic, gritty, southern roots. As the campaign’s success flourished, so did its Buy Local initiative — Alabamians wanted more gulf seafood from their own waters. As a result, frozen entree concepts were explored with plans to sell the meals in local grocery stores thoughout the state and Southeast.
